Hello artists @ dA. My name is Joe and I am 37 years old. I recently started to draw again. I cannot believe I let all these years pass and I never continued to draw. Growing up I was a big fan of comic books and dabbling into a little graffiti. It is now 20 years later and I realized I missed it. So here I am slowly getting back into the swing of things and to show off my skillz (not much but currently working on it).
Here are some of the things I am into and some things about me.
I am a huge fan of the X-Men and specifically Wolverine. He is the ultimate badass in the Marvel Universe. I am also a fan of Marvel comics in general. I like DC comics too but the only one I follow is Batman. The other genre of stuff I am into is Sci-Fi. In other words anything STAR WARS!!! LOL!! The Star Wars franchise is probably the best sci-fi franchise ever created. I am not knocking on "Trekies" but Star Wars is better.
I am also an avid (not as avid as I would like to be) gamer. My console of choice is a PS3. My PSN ID is the same: JCee911. I play a lot of Military FPS type games, IE: Call of Duty series, Medal of Honor. Other games I like to play are RPG games, Final Fanatasy and such. So if you are on the PSN network look me up, we can play a game or two.
The most important thing of all is I am the husband to a beautiful wife and I am the father of 3 beautiful girls. One of them actually loves to draw. If there is anything she inherited from her dad it would be art. If she sticks with this skill she will go far. Here is to hoping she does.
Here are the "tools of the trade" that I use.
Standard Graphite Pencils 9H-7B
Pentel Mechanical Graphite Pencils B, HB, 2B (looking for more grades)
Colored Pencils (set 24 Prismacolor)
